Mailing lists
Mailing lists are often used as a forum for discussion - either
public or private. You can use a mailing list to manage the flow
of information from your company to your clients, without having
to manage exactly who receives the mails.
Our options for a mailing list are as follows:
- Virtual list server: We set up a list server for you,
using the name of your domain, e.g. lists.lunch.za.net.
You can run one or more mailing lists
with up to 1000 recipients over all the lists.
R400.00+VAT per month. Each additional 500
recipients is charged at R200.00+VAT per month.
- Single mailing lists: We set up a mailing list for you
on our own list server, lists.ledge.co.za. This will be called
something similar to
ledge-announce@lists.ledge.co.za (you choose the
name). For each list you pay R100.00+VAT per month.
Messages are limited to 10kb per message, and the number
of list members is limited to 300 (R50+VAT per month for
each additional 100 members).
We use the GNU mailman software to manage e-mail
distribution lists. If you would like to set up your own
distribution lists or discussion lists, then
